Descripción

Al Bricker is a patron of the arts in the highest sense of the term. After having attended many New Orleans Jazz Festivals Al and his wife Pam and a few of their friends landed on the idea of bringing that type of energy to Greeley Colorado. In New Orleans they could see the huge benefit the festival was to all kinds of businesses down there and they figured that could translate to Greeley. So around 2005 they got the ball rolling and today The Greeley Blues Jam has become one of the most preeminent blues festivals in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.

Mile High Music Podcast - EP7 - Eric Baines

Eric Baines is a multi talented musician who cut his teeth in the fertile Denver music scene of the mid to late ‘90s. The time he spent with Chucky and The Cyclones, Tracy Edwards, Steve Crenshaw as well as his own group ,The Fringe, ultimately lead to him playing with Kyle in The Creighton Holley Band as well as Kyle Roberts Blues Revival.  But Eric always had his sights set a bit higher than all that. After playing for a time with Nelson Rangell he relocated to L.A. in the early 2000’s  and hit the ground running. His resume reads like a who’s who of noted jazz, pop, rock and country artists. Keiko Matsui, Baby face, Lee Ritenour, Lucas Grabeel, Greg Karukas, Hugh Masakela, Melissa Manchester and many many more. Currently Eric holds down the bass and back up vocals in Dwight Yoakam’s band. He also continues to write and produce his own music and has a podcast he’s kicking off of his own called The Dive Bar Rock Star Podcast. It was great to sit down and kick it with him talking about the old days in Denver and the wild ride he’s been on since leaving for L.A.
