MLB’s media rights deals for 2026 are all over the place, requiring fans to subscribe to six different platforms for complete coverage, which can cost over $100 monthly. In other sports leagues they often have more consolidated broadcasting agreements, making access simpler and potentially less expensive for fans. So…HOW is THIS a good thing in baseball???? Season 3 - Episode 11 - Name Of The Game - RUNS SCORED!

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2376424/fan_mail/new] Geez, Some wild games and results it seems like this year. OK, I guess we have to dive right into this. What is going on this year with scoring runs teams are given up a lot of runs this year and we've got some strange results so far all right you know we've talked about this in the podcast numerous times as it's our main topic of discussion, the imploding bullpens, but are you seeing a change in starters? Are you seeing them go perhaps a little more than the four and five innings we've had in recent years if you look at the top starters in the major leagues right now as a team, could you guess the top five I don't think it would surprise you surprisingly the Milwaukee Brewers have given up only 91 runs from their starters with a nice 3.06 ERA , number two is the Tampa Bay Rays 92 runs, the Yankees have given up only 112 runs, the Braves are next with 113 and rounding out the top five, the Dodgers with 116. That is no real surprise with those names. Those teams have been playing pretty well this year and they seem to be using their starters more than their relievers. Who are the bottom Starters? This will make a lot of sense to you, the San Francisco Giants starters have given up 172 runs. Almost twice as much as the Brewers who lead MLB.  Join us for more... Season 3 - Episode 10 - Who's In First?

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2376424/fan_mail/new] Today is Season 3 - Episode 10 - Who’s in First? But, we have a lot more to talk about FIRST. All right, we talked about steals and we talked about the increase in steals, but there's one thing that has been bothering me with the rule changes on pick ups and disengagement. It's why no pictures are taking. I think advantage of the situation and throwing over to first after two attempts, the third attempt is never made by pitching so even in the last decade, major league baseball has experienced notable changes and pickoff attempts and yes, they are changes due to the new rules and pitches evolving but I think pictures are missing out on opportunities to get bases runners out. pickoff/caught stealing plays have made up nearly half the pickoffs we’ve seen, which is the highest rate in 11 years. This shouldn’t be too surprising, since caught stealing numbers are up across the board.  Join us for more... Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2376424/support]

Season 3 - Episode 9 - The First 30

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2376424/fan_mail/new] In our 9th episode of Season 3, we will talk about the first 30 days of the season. Is it too early too panic for some teams? We have had a pretty exciting start of the season. Where do we begin? Let's start with reviewing the standings any surprises what about your team? Well, starting with the American League East it's been pretty competitive and I don't think there has been a lot of surprise. Baltimore has started off much better than last year. Obviously, we all know about the Red Sox and their shit play the Blue Jays aren't looking so great right now the team that always surprises me is the Tampa Bay rays. They stay competitive it is a shame that they do not have a fan base that appreciates that tenacity the Yankees very surprising pitching very surprising, but they still have a shit bullpen and it's being hidden by the pitching and timely hitting at this point, their bullpen is just about as bad as last year, but with different names. Would it surprise you if you didn't realize the Yankees on number one in the major leagues in ERA for their starting pitches they're at 2.74 earned run average the Dodgers, a second with a 2.83 the Braves a third with a 3.04 the guardians with a 3.43 and then the top five of the best team ERA is the Tampa Bay Rays at number five at 3.45 so right there you get to realize why the raise are playing so much better and all those other team.  Join us for MORE... Season 3 - Episode 7 - OPENING DAY!

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2376424/fan_mail/new] In our 7th episode of Season 3, it is OPENING DAY! Yankees vs Giants Wednesday nite game to open the season? This was a bit different, I like the one game early then BOOM, the season starts the next day. You gotta ask yourself…are the teams REALLY ready having to cut short spring training due to the WBC? I know, I know…all the players have a certain amount of swing and pitches they need to be ready, and most players are ready before spring training even ends. The pitching this year doesn’t seem to be ahead of the hitters as tradition says. Look at all the 10 + run games this spring and you gotta wonder!  2026 San Francisco Giants The San Francisco Giants have to be entering the season with a sense of optimism. They have made significant changes to their roster and are looking on improving from last years 3rd place finish behind the Padres and World Series Champion Dodgers. They finished up 12 games behind the Dodgers. First Base - Rafael Devers Join us for more... Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2376424/support]
