Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2376424/fan_mail/new] This is Season 3 - Episode 12, “What’s On YOUR Mind”, and we welcome you to the podcast. In doing this podcast, we have tried to stay away from topics that you can see on ESPN or MLB Network or even your local news cast. We have tried to be a little different at times. It gets a little hard we've produced 75 podcast now and sometimes we do need to look back.  The Uecker Line For instance it is still a dilemma in the game with batting averages. At this point in this season, we have completed approximately 60 games for most teams. Can you imagine that the leaders and I hate to use that term leader but Manny Machado leads the major leagues in the worst average for a regular player he has 238 at bats and he's batting .172 holy cow .172! Manny Machado it's not just that it's on base percentage is pitiful. It's slugging is pitiful who's number 2 on this list, Dansby Swanson of the Cubs is hitting .178 holy cow, Evan Carter of the Texas Rangers .178, Cedric Mullins of the Tampa Bay Rays .189, Nolan Gorman 3B from the Cardinals is hitting .194, Adolis Garcia of the Phillies has played 67 games and is hitting .195, Salvador Perez of the Royals has played 63 games with 244 at bat and he still hitting .197 holy cow, and there's a slew of players hitting under .210.  Now, there was a VERY colorful character who  passed away January 16, 2025, at the age of 90, and that was Bob Uecker. We dedicated a podcast to Bob Uecker asking for sportscasters and baseball people to make a change, in respect to Bob Uecker. Yes, I’m talking about the Uecker Line!  Join us for more... Season 3 - Episode 14 - HALF WAY!

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2376424/fan_mail/new] Season 3 - Episode 14 - HALF WAY! WOW…We are seeing some contrasting moves by some teams right now!. As we hit that 90’ish games play level what is going on with some teams? Let us start with the team known for it’s collapse in June. The June Swoon of the NY Yankees. Check out these records? American League East  2026- June 12 -14 2025 - June 13 - 14 2024 - June 14 - 13 2023 - June 10 -15 2022 - June 22 - 6 2021 - June 12 - 14 Are you kidding me? 5 out of 6 years Aaron Boone’s teams have crapped out in June. The typical June Swoon for the Yankees has them in second place 4 GB the Tampa Bay Rays. Another collapse in June…WHY? Do the Yankees management even care? Guess not, because seriously, 5 out of 6 years? That’s consistency in areas you do not want to be consistent in. MOST teams would end the tenure of the manager…but not the Yankees.  Join us for more... Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2376424/support]

Season 3 - Episode 13 - Are YOU Ready For CBA Updates?

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2376424/fan_mail/new] Season 3 - Episode 13 - Are YOU Ready For CBA Updates? I’m not really sure if I’m ready to discuss this. We are in the preliminary stages of negotiating the next Collective Bargain Agreement (The CBA), between owners and players. You have to interested in this if you are a baseball fan, because the topics and agendas of both parties spell TROUBLE. Strikes suck and piss off everyone. Can it be avoided though? This is like the Nuclear War of baseball. It is NOT 1994. Meaning…if baseball was to strike…The fans would just say…Fuck it, and move on to something else. Think I’m outta touch with that, the players AND Owners agree on that one. Currently we are in the early stages of negotiation, where both parties are looking for fan support. This will continue through the summer, as you will see different proposals and stands “leaked” to the media.  What do YOU think?  Join us for more... Season 3 - Episode 11 - Name Of The Game - RUNS SCORED!

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2376424/fan_mail/new] Geez, Some wild games and results it seems like this year. OK, I guess we have to dive right into this. What is going on this year with scoring runs teams are given up a lot of runs this year and we've got some strange results so far all right you know we've talked about this in the podcast numerous times as it's our main topic of discussion, the imploding bullpens, but are you seeing a change in starters? Are you seeing them go perhaps a little more than the four and five innings we've had in recent years if you look at the top starters in the major leagues right now as a team, could you guess the top five I don't think it would surprise you surprisingly the Milwaukee Brewers have given up only 91 runs from their starters with a nice 3.06 ERA , number two is the Tampa Bay Rays 92 runs, the Yankees have given up only 112 runs, the Braves are next with 113 and rounding out the top five, the Dodgers with 116. That is no real surprise with those names. Those teams have been playing pretty well this year and they seem to be using their starters more than their relievers. Who are the bottom Starters? This will make a lot of sense to you, the San Francisco Giants starters have given up 172 runs. Almost twice as much as the Brewers who lead MLB.  Join us for more... Season 3 - Episode 10 - Who's In First?

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2376424/fan_mail/new] Today is Season 3 - Episode 10 - Who’s in First? But, we have a lot more to talk about FIRST. All right, we talked about steals and we talked about the increase in steals, but there's one thing that has been bothering me with the rule changes on pick ups and disengagement. It's why no pictures are taking. I think advantage of the situation and throwing over to first after two attempts, the third attempt is never made by pitching so even in the last decade, major league baseball has experienced notable changes and pickoff attempts and yes, they are changes due to the new rules and pitches evolving but I think pictures are missing out on opportunities to get bases runners out. pickoff/caught stealing plays have made up nearly half the pickoffs we’ve seen, which is the highest rate in 11 years. This shouldn’t be too surprising, since caught stealing numbers are up across the board.  Join us for more... Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2376424/support]
