Descripción

Episode Description In this episode of MoMento 24-7, we explore why the mind sometimes gets stuck replaying the same thoughts again and again. Many of us experience mental loops. We revisit past conversations, worry about future situations, or repeat the same thoughts without realizing it. Psychology calls this rumination, and neuroscience shows that it is connected to a brain system called the Default Mode Network, which becomes active when the mind is not focused on a task. In this short reflection, we look at how awareness can help us step back from these loops. Using a simple psychological skill called cognitive defusion, we can learn to notice thoughts without getting pulled into them. This episode invites you to pause, observe your thoughts with curiosity, and practice gently letting them pass. Sometimes the mind does not need to solve every thought. Sometimes it simply needs space to move forward. A small moment of awareness can help release what the mind has been holding on to.
