DescripciĂłn

Here is the rewrite: What if the reason you keep stopping and restarting with money has nothing to do with discipline — and everything to do with the fuel you've been using? You already know what you need to do. Track your spending. Save more. Stop the impulse purchases. Stick to the budget. You know. And yet — by Wednesday, the plan falls apart. I lived this. The Monday reset. The Wednesday collapse. The guilt. The "I'll try again next week." For years, I believed the problem was me — that I just didn't have enough discipline, enough commitment, enough willpower to make it work. It wasn't until I started learning differently that everything changed. Not by trying harder. But by understanding what was really driving my choices all along. What changed everything was one realization: motivation is not a feeling you wait for. It is a choice you make. In this solo episode, I'm sharing one of the most misunderstood patterns in personal finance — the willpower trap. It's the start-stop cycle that keeps so many hardworking women stuck despite their best intentions. And it is not a character flaw. It is a system problem. Drawing on the research of BrenĂ© Brown, the teachings of my coach Brad Bizjak, and the framework of Brendon Burchard's The Motivation Manifesto, I walk you through the 3-pillar system that replaced white-knuckling with something that actually works — and actually lasts. In this episode, we talk about: * Why willpower is the weakest fuel source for long-term financial change * What BrenĂ© Brown's research reveals about how real change happens * The phone battery analogy — taught by Brad Bizjak — that explains why you're running on empty by 8 PM * The difference between managing money from fear vs. from freedom * The 3-pillar system: Environmental Architecture, Compounding Repetition, and Directional Recalibration * How the Weekly Money Moment can transform your relationship with money from dread to calm leadership If you've ever felt like you know exactly what to do — but can't seem to make it stick — this episode was made for you. The gap between knowing and doing is not a character flaw. It is a system problem. And systems can be fixed. Ep.47 đŸ€ą Shame eats [relationships] for breakfast

Do you know where shame goes after it leaves your head? It ripples outward — and it hits the people you love most. In our last episode, we talked about the Financial Hangover. Today we talk about what happens after. Because I've lived this. I had a CPA situation — a tax bill that left our account without warning — and instead of telling my husband, I went silent. I'm the money person. I'm the numbers person. How could I let this happen? So I hid it. And that's when the Avoidance Tax gets really expensive. We discuss how shame is an isolating force. It convinces you that you're a burden. So you pull away. You stop communicating. You stop being transparent. And that withdrawal builds a wall — slowly, quietly — until the truth comes out and explodes into an argument that was never actually about the money. You're arguing about the distance. You're arguing because your partner got shut out of reality while you were trying to protect him (and yourself!) from your (own) shame. The Regulate, Reframe, Reclaim strategy isn't just about balancing a checkbook. It's about rebuilding financial intimacy in your marriage. You sit down with your spouse — not in shame, but in leadership — and you say: here's what happened, here's what went wrong, let's figure out the plan from here. It is okay to have different ways of handling money if you both share the same vision for your future, especially your finances.  Sign up today for my upcoming 3-Day Free Live Financial Reset Challenge - July 14th through July 16.  https://strasburgcoaching.com/financial-reset-challenge Follow me on Social Strasburg Coaching [https://www.facebook.com/strasburgcoaching] on Facebook @madstrascoach [https://www.instagram.com/madstrascoach/] on Instagram @madstrascoach [https://www.tiktok.com/@madstrascoach] on TikTok

Ep.46 đŸ’žđŸŸ The Only Cure for a Financial Hangover: The 3-Step Reset

Do you know that feeling the morning after a money mistake? When you wake up and it hits you — what you spent, what you didn't pay, what you said yes to when you should have said no. That's what I call the Financial Hangover. And if you've ever been there, this episode is for you. Here's what I want you to understand: the mistake itself is rarely what keeps you stuck. It's the shame that follows it. Shame is the number one reason professional women stay frozen in their finances — not lack of information, not lack of income. Shame. And the way most of us deal with it is by not looking. Not checking the account. Not opening the statement. I call that the Avoidance Tax — and it costs more than the original mistake ever did. In this episode, I walk you through my Regulate, Reframe, Reclaim strategy. Three steps to move you from feeling stupid about money to thinking strategically about it. Because that's the shift. Not from broke to rich. From shame to strategy. If you are tired of the spiral, this is your first step toward real financial momentum. In this episode: * The difference between guilt and shame — and why one drives growth while the other keeps you hiding * The Avoidance Tax — why not looking at your bank account is the most expensive habit you have * The 3-Step Reset — a breakdown of Regulate, Reframe, Reclaim * The 3-Day Financial Reset Challenge: Starts Tuesday July 14th. * Sign Up Here: https://strasburgcoaching.com/financial-reset-challenge Follow me on Social Strasburg Coaching [https://www.facebook.com/strasburgcoaching] on Facebook @madstrascoach [https://www.instagram.com/madstrascoach/] on Instagram @madstrascoach [https://www.tiktok.com/@madstrascoach] on TikTok

Ep.44 ⭐ Why Some Women Change Their Finances for Good with Ginger Faith

What if the life you want financially actually begins with healing your identity? In this deeply personal conversation, I sit down with real estate broker, investor, and entrepreneur Ginger Faith. With more than 30 years in real estate, Ginger has built wealth through rental properties, business ownership, and strategic investing. But her story didn’t start there. Ginger grew up in an extremely difficult environment — raised by a single mother struggling with alcoholism and schizophrenia. As a teenager, she carried the responsibility of helping hold her family together while trying to make sense of the world around her. What changed everything was one decision: she became a learner. From reading personal development books to discovering mindset training and real estate investing, Ginger slowly rebuilt her foundation. Over time, she learned something powerful: money alone doesn’t fix your life. But when used intentionally, it can create the space you need to grow, heal, and build a meaningful lifestyle. In this episode, we talk about: ‱ How learning became Ginger’s “superpower.”  ‱ Why identity shifts are often the key to financial change  ‱ How real estate allowed her to create time freedom  ‱ The role faith and spiritual growth played in rebuilding her life  ‱ Why designing your lifestyle matters more than building an empire If you’ve ever felt like your past defines your financial future, this conversation will remind you that a new foundation can always be built. Money may be the tool, but transformation begins within. 👍🐾 A Better Frog To Eat? - 12 ways to Maximize your Get-Done-Today list

The start of a New year is a natural time to review our daily routines and ask a simple question: Is there an easier or better way to do this? If your productivity system works—but feels heavier than it needs to be—this episode is for you. In this solo episode of Money Is Not Your Problem, we talk about giving yourself permission to try different approaches to your workday so that important tasks actually get completed. Instead of promoting one “right” method, this conversation invites you to observe how you work now and consider small adjustments that can improve focus, energy, and follow-through. Inspired by the Eat the Frog approach, we explore the idea of starting with the hardest, most important task—and compare it with another option many people use to build momentum: quick wins. The goal isn’t to choose the “best” rule, but to find what helps you move through your day more effectively. You’ll hear practical ideas on: * When tackling the “ugliest frog” first makes sense * When starting with quick wins can support your rhythm * Why productivity looks different in different seasons * How to test small changes in your routine without pressure or guilt This episode isn’t about doing more. It’s about refining your daily routine, so the work that matters most actually gets done with greater consistency throughout the year.  Follow me on Social Strasburg Coaching [https://www.facebook.com/strasburgcoaching] on Facebook @madstrascoach [https://www.instagram.com/madstrascoach/] on Instagram @madstrascoach [https://www.tiktok.com/@madstrascoach] on TikTok
