Descripción

Do unto others (Luke 6:31) leads us into the realization that sometimes it is hard to be a Christian when facing down difficult situations and people. However, realizing that we don't know what is going on in the lives of some of the difficult people we encounter, is something we should strongly consider. Also, the fact that a smile could actually be someone's saving grace. The struggle is real but don't be the reason someone is struggling- be the sunshine through the storm clouds.  In this podcast I share stories, insight, and scripture.  Have a blessed day! Shaunna

episode Know Thyself (Part 1) artwork

Know Thyself (Part 1)

Topic of Discussion: Know Thyself (Socrates) We are who we choose to be. Life is but a series of choices. It is through God’s eyes that we see ourselves most clearly. Who knows us better than God? Not even ourselves. Life is a series of choices. Knowing thyself is an important aspect to navigating life’s series of choices and being successful at the decisions you make. When you aren’t sure… even when you are sure, you can still make a wrong decision. But the one who knows us better than anyone else is not our spouse, mortal best-friend, parent, or sibling- it’s God. Who better to know us than the Creator, Himself? Proverbs 3:6 says, “in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” In everything you do, submit to God. Submit your thoughts, choices, ideas, desires, and needs. God will make your paths straight. He has gone before each of us, knowing what lies ahead. Go on a journey with me into knowing thyself. Meditate on God's Word, where your life has gone when you have sought God's guidance, and what direction it has taken when you have gone it alone.  Ask yourself this: Do I know thyself? What don't I know about myself? What do I want to know about myself? Am I prepared to take a leap of faith today, and seek God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth and man, made in God's image- and ask the all important question of: God what do you see when you look at me?  A philosopher said, know thyself. The Creator of the heavens and the earth said, in Jeremiah 29:13, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

episode Positive Thinking, Positive You (Let there be light....) artwork

Positive Thinking, Positive You (Let there be light....)

Mortal Thinking Says: Once everything falls into place, I’ll find peace. Spiritual Thinking Says: Find your peace, and everything will fall into place. Examining a richer and more meaningful approach to positive thinking. Meditating on how negative thinking can snowball a situation into an avalanche of emotion and irrationality. Asking God to overflow us with His light so that we can be a light to others and to enlighten us to what is causing us strife in our lives.  Positive thinking starts today. Not tomorrow. Positive thinking starts now. Right now, my day is changing, my attitude is changing, my heart and my mind are changing. I am positive. I know God is making a way for me where I see no way. I know God split the Red Sea for Moses, I know He will overcome my obstacles for me, move these mountains and help me out of these negative thoughts, emotions, and situations.  Today I choose to be a better more positive me. Today, I choose to make lemonade from life's lemons. Today, it starts with me and a renewed way of thinking and a positive attitude. Today, I am setting the groundwork and foundation for a better tomorrow.
