At some point, you will be faced with a moment, a season, or maybe a group of people that will put pressure on you to make a decision that goes against your values. And most of the time, the change won't seem dramatic. It's a slow drift. Just one small compromise, and then another, and another, until you eventually look nothing like you did before. So how are we supposed to navigate the culture around us that begs us to compromise? “I thought I'd be further along, but I'm not.” Have you ever had that feeling? “I thought I'd be more faithful. I thought I'd be more obedient. I thought I'd be more Christlike.” This is a message mostly to Christians, but even if you're new to faith, you may have the same expectations about your walk with God. By the end of this message, I hope that you'll be encouraged because we are going to read a Psalm from King David who had the same doubts. And I hope you'll see that you're not alone. When it comes to God, doubt is a really big deal because there’s so little we can prove. We are people of faith. We worship and serve an invisible God. We believe in another realm after we die, but no one ever sends postcards from there… So many of our beliefs are unseen and unprovable.
