#28 - Sadie Mees - Captured by the IDF

In this week's episode, John Harris interviews Sadie Mees about her experience on the Freedom Flotilla to Gaza. In October, Mees and two other Newfoundlanders left to join a humanitarian mission, onboarding a boat with doctors, supplies, and journalists, in the hope of breaking Israel's siege and helping the people of Palestine. The three of them were captured by the Israeli Defence Force and imprisoned; they faced assault, trauma, and witnessed first-hand the atrocity of genocide, until their eventual release and deportation. Sadie Mees is a master's student at Memorial University and an organizer with Palestine Action YYT and MUN Students for Palestine. Produced by Kaelem Tingate This program aired on CHMR-FM MUN Radio ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.
