Descripción

Andrew Hughes is an incredibly accomplished yet brilliantly humble adventurer: Mountaineer, explorer, extreme sports enthusiast, Guinness world record holder and human rights advocate. In 2020, he became the fastest and first American man and third person ever to complete the Antarctica Trifecta, and has completed both the Seven Summits ascents and six of the Seven Volcanic Summits. We recorded this episode on his 2-year anniversary of his successful Mt Everest summit attempt, with Andrew sharing his gnarliest and most harrowing stories that led him from a background in law and politics to summiting the highest mountain in the world, as well as sustaining the passion to continue his work, advocacy and adventures (sustainably). Ep 2 - Flora Beverley - Epic ultra-runs and getting sick along the way

This week, we’re sharing the stories of ultramarathon runner, model, and fitness blogger Flora Beverley. Flora caught the running bug back in 2018 and has since completed long-distance and ultra-runs across the world, from the Tokyo marathon to most recently the multi-day Rat Race Croatia and Ultra Trails Snowdonia challenges.  Today, we cover a particularly gnarly moment on one of her epic runs abroad; her dream athletic goals for the future; and why water purification tablets really are a must-have for any distance race (disclaimer: it gets a bit shitty).  Races and events namechecked in this episode: RunBritain - https://www.runbritain.com/ UTMB races - https://utmb.world/ RatRace Adventures - https://www.ratrace.com/ Find out more about Flora: https://foodfitnessflora.blog/ @foodfitnessflora Get in touch at mygnarliestmoment@gmail.com, or follow us on Instagram @mygnarliestmoment
