Descripción

In today's episode we dive deep into one of my My Two Cents articles, "White Working-Class America is Angry and Here is Why" [https://mytwocents.press/2025/11/16/white-working-class-america-is-angry-and-here-is-why/]we examine the profound economic and social frustrations currently felt by the white working class through a historical and structural lens. The author argues that wealthy elites have long utilized racial divisions as a strategic tool to " block the formation of a unified, multiracial coalition that could challenge the status quo. While this demographic once enjoyed a sense of relative stability through industrial labor and social status, the rise of automation and globalization has left them feeling abandoned. Rather than addressing these complex economic shifts, modern political actors frequently redirect this anger toward immigrants and minorities. Ultimately, the source suggests that restoring labor power and fostering cross-racial unity are the only viable paths toward reclaiming economic security for all workers.

A Deep Dive: America’s Midlife Crisis - The Struggle Between a Mature Republic and the Nostalgia of its Youth

In today’s episode, we dive deep into one of my My Two Cents articles, "America’s Midlife Crisis: The Struggle Between a Mature Republic and the Nostalgia of its Youth." We explore the provocative argument that the United States is currently navigating a collective psychological "midlife crisis"—torn between the responsibilities of a global, mature power and a sentimental, often distorted, longing for the simplicity of the past. We discuss: * The Nostalgia Trap: Why "the way things used to be" is becoming a dominant political and social force. * Growing Pains: The friction between a modern, diverse republic and the traditionalist ideals of its founding. * The Path Forward: Can a nation "grow up" without losing its soul? Can we embrace that America isn’t losing its identity but is finally growing into it? Whether you feel the country is evolving or eroding, this conversation challenges how we view our history—and our future. Listen now to unpack why America is at a crossroads and what happens when a superpower starts looking in the rearview mirror.

episode A Deep Dive: The Staining of the White Canvas, what does Colorblind really mean? artwork

A Deep Dive: The Staining of the White Canvas, what does Colorblind really mean?

A young brilliant chemist, a black woman, in 1915 develops a cure for leprosy. After her untimely death in 1916 the University president where she worked publishes her findings as his own and names it the "Dean method". He was celebrated and recognized for this treatment until the truth was revealed in the year 2000. I wrote about this in my latest blog and some readers were more concerned that I pointed out that the young chemist was black than they were about the theft of her legacy. Their sentiment was that I was playing the race card and promoting division merely by mentioning her race. In this episodes deep dive I am exploring the concept of being colorblind. Is it the solution to racism or just the shield to protect it? A Deep Dive: The Paperwork Trap, Why History is Repeating Itself at the Ballot Box

Why is the paperwork getting so complicated lately? I’ve been looking into some recent policy changes that are hitting home for a lot of us—especially families who have stayed at home to raise kids or those of us helping our parents navigate their retirement years. There’s a "paperwork trap" hidden in the fine print of the latest bills coming out of D.C. It’s affecting everything from how we keep our health insurance to how we prove who we are at the local office. In this week’s My Two Cents, I’m breaking down: The "Document Gap" that is catching our elders off guard. Why being a married woman might actually make your next registration a headache. The real reason why graduate school and professional growth are suddenly getting more expensive.History has a way of repeating itself, but only if we aren't paying attention to the fine print. I’m sharing what I’ve found so we can stay two steps ahead.#MyTwoCents [https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/mytwocents?__eep__=6&__cft__[0]=AZbugqf9Pf0OiW7vCd8bwmbUkNv7ZBx9n_O4OGvCqx0WzWuiadHisHBegeiI-Qmq5wTgvCJkMGiwRkdXPYl1qKtGX99S_H4xssw0FHI913WN7jcJRD2sby1Oh00CxT70Tymm29GLdGf2TSy_dXapE8hBL5bK_Rf0nIOFAmbji16bT0FEPyTTY2aK3__vxzzuspU&__tn__=*NK-R] #CommunityHealth [https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/communityhealth?__eep__=6&__cft__[0]=AZbugqf9Pf0OiW7vCd8bwmbUkNv7ZBx9n_O4OGvCqx0WzWuiadHisHBegeiI-Qmq5wTgvCJkMGiwRkdXPYl1qKtGX99S_H4xssw0FHI913WN7jcJRD2sby1Oh00CxT70Tymm29GLdGf2TSy_dXapE8hBL5bK_Rf0nIOFAmbji16bT0FEPyTTY2aK3__vxzzuspU&__tn__=*NK-R] #FamilyWealth [https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/familywealth?__eep__=6&__cft__[0]=AZbugqf9Pf0OiW7vCd8bwmbUkNv7ZBx9n_O4OGvCqx0WzWuiadHisHBegeiI-Qmq5wTgvCJkMGiwRkdXPYl1qKtGX99S_H4xssw0FHI913WN7jcJRD2sby1Oh00CxT70Tymm29GLdGf2TSy_dXapE8hBL5bK_Rf0nIOFAmbji16bT0FEPyTTY2aK3__vxzzuspU&__tn__=*NK-R] #StayInformed [https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/stayinformed?__eep__=6&__cft__[0]=AZbugqf9Pf0OiW7vCd8bwmbUkNv7ZBx9n_O4OGvCqx0WzWuiadHisHBegeiI-Qmq5wTgvCJkMGiwRkdXPYl1qKtGX99S_H4xssw0FHI913WN7jcJRD2sby1Oh00CxT70Tymm29GLdGf2TSy_dXapE8hBL5bK_Rf0nIOFAmbji16bT0FEPyTTY2aK3__vxzzuspU&__tn__=*NK-R] #TheDeepDive [https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/thedeepdive?__eep__=6&__cft__[0]=AZbugqf9Pf0OiW7vCd8bwmbUkNv7ZBx9n_O4OGvCqx0WzWuiadHisHBegeiI-Qmq5wTgvCJkMGiwRkdXPYl1qKtGX99S_H4xssw0FHI913WN7jcJRD2sby1Oh00CxT70Tymm29GLdGf2TSy_dXapE8hBL5bK_Rf0nIOFAmbji16bT0FEPyTTY2aK3__vxzzuspU&__tn__=*NK-R] #NewYorkLife [https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/newyorklife?__eep__=6&__cft__[0]=AZbugqf9Pf0OiW7vCd8bwmbUkNv7ZBx9n_O4OGvCqx0WzWuiadHisHBegeiI-Qmq5wTgvCJkMGiwRkdXPYl1qKtGX99S_H4xssw0FHI913WN7jcJRD2sby1Oh00CxT70Tymm29GLdGf2TSy_dXapE8hBL5bK_Rf0nIOFAmbji16bT0FEPyTTY2aK3__vxzzuspU&__tn__=*NK-R]
