Nations 4 Jesus
Matthew 4:18-22 records Jesus calling fishermen; Acts 1:8 commissioned them as witnesses "to the ends of the earth." How apostles died: Matthew—sword wound in Ethiopia; Mark—dragged by horses in Alexandria; Luke—hanged in Greece; John—boiled in oil (survived!), exiled to Patmos, wrote Revelation, only apostle to die peacefully; Peter—crucified upside down (felt unworthy to die like Jesus); James (Jerusalem leader)—thrown from Temple, beaten to death; James (Zebedee's son)—beheaded, his Roman guard converted and died with him; Bartholomew—flayed alive; Andrew—crucified on X-cross, preached 2 days while dying; Thomas—speared in India; Jude—killed with arrows; Matthias—stoned and beheaded; NOT ONE recanted! Proves they saw Jesus resurrected. Will we live boldly for Him?
