“Truth Must Reign in the Church: Parable of the Wedding Feast” Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭1‬-‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬ What is a parable? The word "parable" comes from the Greek word "parabolē," which means "comparison" or "illustration." More specifically, a comparison of earthly with heavenly things. The parables told by Jesus are earthly stories with heavenly meanings. Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭11‬-‭14‬ ‭ESV‬‬ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Point To Ponder #1: We cannot take part in the Kingdom of God on our own terms.
