As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Senator Baldwin secured $1.5 million as part of the bipartisan 2023 federal funding bill for the City of Madison to install rooftop solar panels. at Truax Park Apartments, a project projected to save residents at the low-income housing complex an estimated 30 to 50 percent on their utility bills.

News Conference: Mayor Rhodes-Conway Reveals Electric Compactor Names

Mayor Rhodes-Conway reveals the names of electric compactors used at the drop-off site located at 4602 Sycamore Avenue. Earlier this year, a ranked-choice style election was held to choose the names of the trash and recycling electric compactors from a list of finalists. Over 2,200 votes were received during the election and two names received the highest number of total points were selected.
