Descripción

In our second Nordic Surfsisters podcst episode we went over the past cold autumn sessions in Estonia, our surf trips to Spain, France and Portugal while answering our dear listeners’ questions. And a lot of mental health talk happened. Episode no.2 was recorded on a characteristically gray November afternoon when we sat down at the surfer friendly mezcal and tapas bar Kõrb in Tallinn, Kalamaja. So you might hear some traffic noises behind, but we hope you hang (ten) in there. It’s all very authentic over here. Much love to all our surfsisters around the Baltic Sea, North Sea, Atlantic Ocean and all the places beyond where you love surf even when it's cold, dark and grey, but the happiness is max. Hosted by Liisi Voolaid and Annelis Rum.

#3 Surf talks by the Baltic Sea with Anneliis Feenstra and Annelis Rum

In episode 3 of the Nordic Surfsisters Podcast, we have a special guest. Meet Anneliis Feenstra, co-founder of the Nordic Surfsisters community and a seasoned Estonian surfer. We talk about her many surf trips across the globe from the Baltic Sea to England to the Maldives, as well as our latest surf experiences in 1°C water, the off-season, and the raw realness of surfing in less obvious places. We also touch on a gentler topic: surfing and motherhood. Episode 3 was recorded on a sunny April afternoon in Tallinn, Estonia, as we sat down with the hope that the off-season will soon be over and we can return to our beloved sea. Much love to all our surfsisters around the Baltic Sea, North Sea, Atlantic Ocean, and beyond wherever you surf, even when it's cold, dark, and grey, but the happiness is at its maximum. Hosted by Anneliis Feenstra and Annelis Rum. Liisi Voolaid behind the scenes.

#1 Nordic Surfsisters Podcast by Annelis Rum and Liisi Voolaid

This surf show attempt is for all the cold-water surfgals in and beyond the Baltics and Nordics. Produced by cold water surf enthusiasts Annelis Rum and Liisi Voolaid. We're not surf-pros - just grown women embracing our rookieness in the sea with joy. While we surf all over the world, but you'll most likely find us in a tiny, beautiful Nordic country called Estonia. South of Finland, east of Sweden, north of Latvia. The swells here are inconsistent, conditions vary from clean glassy waves to snowstorm chaos, but we get to surf all year round. This podcast is like our private surf chat gone public - full of stories from the weird and wonderful lineups of the Baltic Sea. We’re here to inspire, support doubtful surfers, and open up conversations women are often left out of. Expect us to be like you: curious, searching, joyful, and anything but ordinary.
