She also serves on the Board of Directors for Destination Toronto, where she brings valuable Indigenous insight to the tourism and hospitality sectors. In our conversation, Tuesday shared meaningful ways the events industry can respectfully include Indigenous voices. She emphasized the importance of delivering Land Acknowledgements with true intention— researching and understanding their meaning, not just reciting them. These acknowledgements are more than formality; they are a connection to place, people, and story. She also discussed the significance of authentic Indigenous ceremonies to welcome guests to the land—bringing spirit, respect, and cultural grounding to events when led appropriately by knowledge keepers.
