Descripción

Cheers! In honor of Universal’s new movie “The Mummy,” which is supposedly kicking off a new Dark Universe of Universal monster movie reboots, we are watching 1932’s “The Mummy,” starring Boris Karloff, and 1959’s “The Mummy,” starring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. We’ve paired our “Mummy” double feature with an aged beer – do you see what we did there? It’s Bravo, an imperial brown ale aged in oak bourbon barrels, from Firestone Walker. The Mummy (1932) The Mummy (1959) If you really like our podcast – and of course you do that’s why you’re here – you should share it with your friends and leave a review of our podcast on iTunes. You can follow Old Movies, New Beer on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. We’re always posting delicious-looking beer photos and fun old movie-related things.

The Films of Vincent Price and Nose Goblin IPA from Ghost Town Brewing

Cheers! We wanted to do a podcast about Vincent Price, but we couldn’t stop watching Vincent Price movies – hence the delay in new episodes. In this episode, we drink Nose Goblin Imperial IPA from Ghost Town Brewing, located in Oakland, Calif., and talk about 14 – that’s right, 14!!! – movies starring Vincent Price, including: His Kind Of Woman (1951) House of Wax (1953) The Tingler (1959) The House on Haunted Hill (1959) The House of Usher (1960) Pit and the Pendulum (1961) Diary of a Madman (1963) The Raven (1963) The Comedy of Terrors (1963) The Tomb of Ligeia (1964) Masque of the Red Death (1964) Last Man On Earth (1964) The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971) Theater Of Blood (1973) His Kind of Woman (1951) Diary of a Madman (1963) The Masque of the Red Death (1964) If you like our podcast – and of course you do that’s why you’re here – you should share it with your friends and leave a review of our podcast on Apple Podcasts. Alec Guinness Classics and HenHouse Brewing

Cheers! We’re back. Did you miss us? To make up for our hiatus, we’re going to talk about three movies – that’s right, THREE – movies starring Alec Guinness. In honor of these three movies from Ealing Studios we’re drinking East Coast Bias from HenHouse Brewing from Petaluma, California. We actually don’t have a clever tie-in this time. We just really like this beer, and we want to talk about it. Kind Hearts And Coronets (1949) The Lavender Hill Mob (1951) The Ladykillers (1955) If you really like our podcast – and, duh, of course you do – you should share it with your friends and leave a review of our podcast on iTunes.
