On Your Terms
Sonya Hollins is an amazing author and a gifted publisher, but after hearing her story I think the journey she took to become those things carries just as much weight for On Your Terms listeners as the finish line. Sonya shares her inspiring journey, starting from a childhood dream of becoming a Pulitzer Prize winner to becoming an award-winning journalist and now entrepreneur. What I find fascinating and powerful about her story is how she constantly had to fight for herself--and then realize that she needed to fight for others who follow behind her. Sonya also introduces her "Merze Tate Explorers" program, a nonprofit travel writers organization for girls, where she empowers young women to find their voices and prepare for college and careers through journalism. Sonya has lived life on her terms and fought through plenty of adversity to get there--I hope you find inspiration from her story and encouragement to get your life on your terms.
