Descripción

November 1997. A fisherman named Eldon Morrow anchors his skiff at the edge of Hatteras Inlet on a moonless night, chasing a rumor of bluefish. Instead he finds a woman standing waist-deep in the outgoing tide, barefoot, wearing a dress that should have been ruined. She tells him she's waiting for the last tide. She tells him she's been counting them. She tells him the inlet remembers every boat that ever passed through, and that some of them are still moving. Eldon doesn't leave. He stays on the sandbar until dawn, watching her vanish with each wave and reform, listening to a story about a lighthouse keeper's daughter who walked into the water in 1919 and never stopped counting. By morning the skiff's engine won't start and the compass needle spins. He rows back to shore, and when he looks over his shoulder the inlet is empty. But the water feels thicker now, like something below is breathing. #OuterBanksDrowned #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #HatterasInlet #EldonMorrow #TheLastTide #LighthouseKeepersDaughter #1919 #November1997 #MoonlessNight #TideCounting #GhostWoman #StrandedSkiff #CompassSpin #Sandbar #BluefishRumor #Drowned #CoastalHorror Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]

The Dunes That Swallowed the Truck at Pea Island

It was the last night of October, 2003, and a nor'easter was chewing the coast. I was at the Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, waiting for the ferry that wouldn't run until morning. But I wasn't alone. A man in a grey slicker stood by the dunes, staring at the beach like he was expecting something. He told me about the truck that disappeared in '87 — a pickup full of Christmas trees that drove into the sand and never came out. He said the dunes have been moving ever since, shifting inland three feet a year, swallowing roads and mailboxes and whole porches. And sometimes, if the wind is right, they give something back. By the time he finished, the tide had eaten the beach and the dunes were closer than they'd been an hour ago. I never saw his face. But I saw what the sand uncovered. #OuterBanksDrowned #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #PeaIsland #NorthCarolina #NorEaster #Dunes #LostTruck #ChristmasTrees #Sand #CoastalHorror #GhostStory #Encounter #MoonlessNight #GreySlicker #WaveSound #ShiftingSand #Unsettling Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]

The Cartographer's Lantern at Ocracoke Point

In 1997, Luna's childhood neighbor Delia Carver walked into the surf at Ocracoke Point and didn't come back. Twenty years later, during a nor'easter, Luna finds Delia's lantern still burning in the dune shack at Ramp 55. The glass is warm. The oil is fresh. And every night since, someone has been leaving fresh fish on the porch. A story about the kindness that persists beyond death, and the obligation that comes with being the one who remembers. #OcracokePoint #DeliaCarver #Ramp55 #HatterasIsland #OuterBanksDrowned #TideLantern #NorEaster97 #DuneShack #GhostStories #Returning #KindnessBeyond #LunaStory #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #CoastalHorror #NorthCarolina #Fisherman #Unsettling Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]

The Woman Who Found the Door at Pea Island

Luna remembers a summer evening on Pea Island, where she met an old woman collecting shells that were never there. The woman spoke of a door that appears in the dunes when the tide pulls the ocean thin, and of the day she walked through it and saw what the sea keeps hidden. Luna followed her to a place where the sand remembers older shorelines, and where the sound of waves is not the ocean at all. A quiet, uneasy story about thresholds and the things that step through them when we are not looking. #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #OuterBanksDrowned #PeaIsland #TheDoorInTheDunes #ShellCollector #TidePool #ThresholdHorror #OceanMemory #DrownedCoast #SandDunes #NightTide #SummerSolstice #OldWoman #LunaRecounts #AtmosphericHorror #SlowBurn #WhatTheSeaTakes Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]

episode The Well That Sang at Buxton artwork

The Well That Sang at Buxton

On a fogged-over November midnight at Buxton, a woman digging with her bare hands uncovers an old well that doesn't just hold water—it holds a voice. A quiet, intimate encounter with a thing that should not be heard, and the woman who came back with salt in her lungs, refusing to speak of what she heard. This is a story about the hollow places that listen, and the sound they make when they answer. Luna tells it with the weight of someone who has stared into a dark hole and heard something stare back, something that still hums in her bones when the tide goes out. She doesn't ask you to believe—she asks you to listen, because some sounds never leave the skull that heard them. #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #OuterBanksDrowned #LunaNarrates #Buxton #NorthCarolina #TheWell #Singing #Fog #November #Midnight #Driftwood #HollowPlaces #SaltLungs #WhatLivesBelow #AnthropologyHorror #QuietDread #CoastalGhostStories Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]
