After graduating college, Coach Cameron began his career in education and coaching in Texas. However, a life-changing call brought him back home — a decision he’s grateful he made. Since returning, he has continued to coach, teach, and pursue higher education, ultimately leading him into administration. Today, he serves as the new Director of Mullins Achievement Center. Dr. Henderson commends Coach Cameron for his genuine connection with students, sharing during the episode, “You have a way with our kids… they love you. The influence you have on them is so positive.” There was no doubt in Dr. Henderson’s mind that Coach Cameron was the right person for this role. Sias has a beautiful history with the Brookhaven School District dating back to when she attended as a student. She proudly wore her red and blue letterman jacket while teaching at other school districts showing others what "We Are Ole Brook" really meant. In 2008, she brought her talents back home starting as an academic coach at AJH. She loved her previous position so much that she became hesitant about accepting her current role of leadership. "I was going to be a team player though," she said to Dr. Henderson during this episode. As she reflects on her journey as a principal so far, she's glad to guide the students, faculty and staff members at Lipsey Middle School with wisdom, standards, and an infectious good time! Panther Podcast - 2025-2026 Superintendent Message with Dr. Henderson

Season 3 of the Panther Podcast is HERE! Our first episode features Dr. Rod Henderson sharing an extended version of his superintendent message to the students, faculty members, staff, parents and Brookhaven School District Community. Dr. Henderson is interviewed by Orionna Coleman. Coleman is an alumna of the Brookhaven School District (class of 2012). Her and her husband Kris Coleman (class of 2009 alum) work in partnership with the district to producing media (podcast shows, promotional videos and more) under their business, Stori Studios, LLC. Dr. Henderson is now in his 6th year as the Superintendent of the Brookhaven School District. He reflects on the last 5 years and sets the goal of continued excellence as he leads our district. "We are the premiere choice in this area for the educational experience. Our educational offerings are second to none." said Dr. Henderson. "The diverse offerings that we have (i.e. sports, clubs, CTE schools, and more) is something for everyone. There is a place for your child to strive and to be successful within the Brookhaven School District."
