Ep. 8 My Thoughts About My Divorce

Today’s episode of The Passionate Sisters Podcast I just want to share with you the lessons I’ve learned throughout the years leading up to my impending divorce. Today, I am exactly 5 days away from getting my divorce, and I’m actually feeling a sense of nervousness about it. I’ve been separated for 3 years and I thought that once this day came, I’d be all smiles and popping bottles and ready to go mingle, but I don’t feel even an ounce of that today. Today, I mourn what feels like a loss of innocence. I don’t know anyone that marries without the intention of staying married forever, and no matter how this marriage ended, I cannot front and pretend like I am not feeling despondent and disappointed right now. Here lies the point I want to make in this episode today. I believe there’s duality in life. Not just sometimes, but at all times. If we were to tell our life’s story, what we’d end up with is 99% thought. I’d imagine only about 1% of our life’s story would be fact. The rest would be fiction. …She told me that she struggled, and her mom struggled, so that means that I can struggle too. How many of us have heard this before? Even if it wasn’t blatantly said to you, how many have had this same thing implied to them before? Because our ancestors struggled, then that means we can struggle too? The reason I became a coach in the first place is because I wanted to show my sisters that peace of mind is available to them right this moment. Ep. 4 How to Live Your Best Life!

I want to talk today about living your very best life. I define living your best life as being in control of your thoughts and your emotions. When you have control over your thoughts and your emotions, you can create anything you want. That is what living your best life is: Having some semblance of control over the happening in your life and how you react to them. If you can think intentionally to create the feelings that you need to go out and do the shit you really want to do, that is living your best life. Additionally, when things are happening in your life and you have a thought about it that causes an emotion you don’t want to act on, living your best life is being able to control your actions despite those low vibe emotions. When you have a handle on these concepts, you can live your best life no matter what the circumstances are. That is what my mentorship is all about. This podcast, my membership program, which we’ll talk about later, is all about creating the life you want starting where you are and with what you have. That means that nothing in your outside world has to change unless you want it to. Get your mind right, get your emotions right, and you will find that your outside world will adjust. Your circumstances can stay exactly as they are and your life can shift drastically at the same time. Living your best life means you are in the correct headspace to get whatever results you want. You can have shit happen to you and around you and you can DECIDE how you want to react to it. You are not being controlled by your emotions. You have the ability to feel an emotion, let it be there, and decide consciously to react to it or not.
