Often, believers get on their knees and say “God, I need a thousand dollars, send it to me, just send it to me." And they expect it to rain out of the sky. They hear stories of unmarked envelopes full of cash showing up in mailboxes. That does happen occasionally, but I've never ever seen a single dollar rain out of the sky in all my life. Have you ever been digging in your backyard and found a treasure chest full of hundred-dollar bills? Does a cash envelope show up every month to cover your bills? Of course not, because that's not how God's system works.

Money is Important

There are many things more important than money, but money is important. God would not have talked about it so much if it weren't. It's fully consistent with the Bible to have incredible amounts of wealth and still be a friend of God. In fact, you can do a lot of good things when you think in terms of wealth instead of poverty, when you think like a millionaire instead of a person of scarce means.
