Descripción

One key ingredient that is required for all entrepreneurs is faith. How that faith is expressed is different for everyone based on your belief system, but, nonetheless, FAITH is required to help bring things that are currently only ideas in your head into existence. Faith requires a certain amount of courage to believe in the passions for your particular business category. In this episode, Jon Umsted, owner of Yummylicious Cookies, shares his journey in building his business and building his community. He discusses how his relationship with God influences every decision he makes in his life and how trusting God helps Jon feel a sense of security when exploring the unknown of entrepreneurship.

Ep. 10 - Giving Yourself Room to Grow with Katie Klenk

"Bloom where you're planted" we frequently hear this expression everywhere. But how can we grow if we don't step beyond our comfort zone? Challenges are part of growth so are mistakes, but it is a stepping stone for us to bloom. We can only find where we should stay if we take a step toward finding it.    Just like what our guest, Katie Klenk, did in changing careers from being an Olympic horse trainer to becoming a real estate agent. The transition was not easy, but it was definitely worth the risk as she is now one of the top real estate agents in South Central Pennsylvania.    In 2022, she was recognized as one of the top six associates at KW Keystone. Homesnap named her among the top fifteen and ranked in the top 15% of sales volume in York and Adams Counties. She has multiple Diamond Circle awards for sales volume exceeding.   In this episode, Katie shares how she had outgrown a particular attitude, a particular stance that she observed in the people she worked with in her firm. She was becoming aware of new values rising to the top and establishing themselves as dominant values that needed to inform how they worked. We also talked about how being a real estate agent is also a business owner.    Timestamp Outline   00:00 - Introduction 01:41 - Welcoming Katie Klenk 02:34 - What Katie can offer you! 04:23 - Katie Shares Her Background 04:43 - Katie's Interest 10:15 - Katie Discusses Her Childhood 11:04 - Values that Influenced Katie 15:01 - How Katie Became a Realtor 19:17 - The difficulty in transitioning from horse training to real estate.   21:31 - Similarities that Katie could transfer from Horse Training to Real Estate. 23:41 - Being a real estate agent is the same as owning a business 27:11 - Support that Brokerages Give to Real Estate Agents 31:34 - How Katie Figures Out the Right Path 35:22 - How Katie's Values Aligned With Her Work 40:00 - Don't Make Assumptions in Doing Business 42:37 - Teach People How To Think Rather Than What to Think 45:58 - Other People's Opinions Don't Matter 51:17 - Adjustments that Katie Makes in Doing Her Work 56:55 - Authenticity: A Value That Helps You In Your Business 58:14 - Katie Leaves Her Encouragement Message 1:01:46 - How to Stand Up For Your Values 1:07:47 - Connect With Katie 1:09:14 - Episode Conclusion
