Get Others to Contribute During Meetings

Our listener, Stef, is looking for advice on how to get her team to contribute during a weekly, one-hour check-in meeting. This is a challenging situation that lots of people face! I'm joined by my friend and colleague Adam Accola [https://www.linkedin.com/in/adamaccola/] to talk about a LOT of different things that Stef can try. Here's some sample language for you to start with (and modify as your own!): * "Seeing faces during a meeting can help us communicate better. What if we try 10 minutes of cameras on, then off for the rest of the meeting?" (This might also need an additional discussion about how realistic this is for everyone or what opting-out on a particular day might look like.) * "I recognize that this meeting isn't working for everyone. What can we do to make it more effective?" * "I'm really struggling with this format. How can we work together to make it easier for others to contribute their ideas?" Have a story that you want help with? Email us at info@empower2retain.com [info@empower2retain.com] with the specifics! This is a public episode.
