It was truth in advertising: exhausted from touring and filming, the Beatles produced an album that cynically stated on the cover exactly how they felt about the situation. Can an album by a weary foursome stack up the their best? We'll be the judge.

"Long Tall Sally" by the Beatles

"Long Tall Sally" is possibly the least-well known of the Beatles catalog that we will cover. An EP released just prior to "A Hard Day's Night", "Long Tall Sally" contained all new recordings that had not been on previous UK albums or singles. It is an important-- but short and easy to overlook-- member of the Beatles discography. We look at its four songs.  Released in honor of Paul McCartney's 84th birthday. Happy birthday!
