Personal Faves — The Story of the Good Samaritan The Parable of the Good Samaritan is one of Jesus' most familiar stories, but its message cuts far deeper than simple kindness. In this message, Pastor Connor explores Luke 10 and reveals the danger of self-righteousness, exposing our tendency to justify ourselves before God by what we have or haven't done. Through the unlikely compassion of a Samaritan toward a wounded stranger, Jesus paints a picture of the gospel itself. We are all the wounded traveler in need of rescue, and Christ is the great Samaritan who crossed the road to eternity to render aid we could never earn or repay. Because we have received His grace, we are now called to extend that same grace to others through sacrificial, costly, and committed love.
