Getting over Sh*t

WE’RE BACK BETCHES Season 2 is here! (Finally) To be totally honest we recorded this episode over a year ago and it has been sitting in our files since then. BUT it is still super relevant because we will never stop working on getting over shit! In this episode we talk about how we get over shit (or don’t) when we’ve had conflicts with friends, family, and in relationships. Closure

It’s our final episode of season 1! What better way to celebrate than to talk about getting closure? Closure is a feeling we want when relationships and situationships end. It helps us to move on, but it’s not always easy to get. Sometimes (in Pascale’s first story) it can take YEARS to feel it. Other times, we’ve had to learn from our own mistakes on how to end situationships so that the other person feels closure. What’s the protocol when you meet your significant other's parents? Do you bring them a gift? Honestly, we are not sure.  In this episode we cover times we’ve met our partners’ family and how that went. How it felt when their family was so different from our own, and what happened when conversations got political. We give some useful tips on how to prep for the meetup, and give an honest take on how important it is to meet the parents!

Is Chivalry Dead or Just Adapting?

It is certainly true that the word “chivalry” has a different meaning today than when it was used to define a knight's social code. But when people say “chivalry is dead” now, it’s usually used as commentary on how a man will act towards others, especially someone they are dating. We wanted to ask ourselves if we felt this phrase was true based on our experience. We chat about times chivalrous deeds have meant a lot to us and times where they made us uncomfortable and gave us the “ick”.
