Radio Free Lemuria: Episode 4 - Gravity's Rainbow 1.2 (2/2) - Proto-Marxists and Ur-Fascists

Nineteenth-century non-Marxist communists, pre-WWI fascists, large lymphatic masses (Richard Nixon?!), obscure Eastern European borders, cocaine, and the CIA managing governmental dreams. And, a Guest!!! David Patrick Gallagher, author of Spree!, joins me to talk about the second half of Gravity’s Rainbow, Part 1, Chapter 2. Links for him posted below: His novel: https://ephesus.press/titles/spree/ [https://ephesus.press/titles/spree/] His online writing: https://slantedmagic.neocities.org/ [https://slantedmagic.neocities.org/] His Twitter: https://x.com/_Soup_65 [https://x.com/_Soup_65] Anyways, yes... this is now a podcast. Join me in my adventures in becoming a podcast dude... I tried to deny it for the first two episodes, yet here we are. Note: Decided to make this a free episode since it includes my first guest. Hope you all enjoy. Companion Essay [https://gravitysrainbow.substack.com/p/part-1-chapter-22-nixons-lymphatic] This is a public episode. Radio Free Lemuria: Episode 2 - Gravity's Rainbow 1.1 - Apocalypse Now

(Like last episode, this was before the Radio Free Lemuria idea came to light. Below is the original description). Continuing my new more in depth musings on the early chapters of Gravity’s Rainbow. Talking more in depth here about Pirate’s dream of the end of the world and his place in the grand plot that is to emerge. Sending this one out as a free audio post and will eventually change it. But I wanted all subscribers to know that this is something I’m doing now. Basically, if you didn’t see the last one, I started these because I find some of my early analyses of Gravity’s Rainbow to be mildly lackluster and just not as in depth as my later writing. So, I’m going for a more free form podcast style thing where I don’t have to dedicate so much time to writing and editing and can just ramble for a while. These will definitely have more depth but maybe less refinement since they’re unedited. It will be a feature for paid subs going forward. All regular postings will of course remain free.
