Raised Traditional
Cooking from scratch is something I care deeply about—but as a full-time working mom, it doesn’t always look the way I imagined. In this episode of Raised Traditional, I’m sharing the real side of trying to feed your family well while also keeping up with work, kids, and a full schedule. From the pressure of doing everything “right,” to the reality of fast food nights and cereal dinners, this is a conversation about finding balance without burnout. I talk about letting go of the all-or-nothing mindset, giving yourself grace in busy seasons, and focusing on what actually matters—being intentional, not perfect. I also share a few of my favorite simple, from-scratch meals (like homemade pasta and tortillas with just a few ingredients), how I approach weekend prep like bread and bagels, and ways I try to be thoughtful with our grocery budget while still prioritizing quality food. If you’ve ever felt like you’re not doing enough in the kitchen, this episode is for you. Sometimes the most meaningful meals are the ones made with intention—even when they’re simple.
