07. How to Build Confidence and Release Control When Fear and Self Doubt Has You Stuck In Your Comfort Zone

Have you ever noticed how comfortable we are when we feel like we're in control? In this episode, I share a simple but powerful lesson from a recent swim lesson. My student is perfectly fine in one area of the pool—even though she can't touch the bottom. But the moment she thinks she's entering the deep end, fear takes over. Whether it's starting a business, pursuing a dream, having a difficult conversation, stepping into leadership, or following a calling God keeps placing on our hearts, we often find ourselves hesitating—not because God has changed, but because we're being asked to leave what's familiar. This episode uncovers * Why our desire for control often keeps us stuck * The difference between faith and certainty * Why confidence usually comes after action—not before it * How to recognize when God may be stirring something in your heart * What it means to trust God when you can't see the entire path ahead And..I include a faith-filled twist on today's overly popular acronym. Faith isn't having all the answers before you move. Faith is trusting God enough to take the next step and discovering His faithfulness along the way. If you've been waiting until you feel ready, certain, or confident before moving forward, this episode is your reminder that sometimes the breakthrough isn't found in the planning—it's found in the stepping. 05. Is a Lack of Confidence Keeping You Stuck? You might be missing this.

Success is often portrayed as something deeply personal. But what if part of redefining success is recognizing that none of us were designed to walk through life alone? 04. Motivation and Drive: What's Fueling Your Success

To have drive and to be driven is a wonderful characteristic. It should be celebrated. We teach our kids to work hard, pursue excellence, improve their skills, and strive to succeed. There’s nothing wrong with having a fire in your belly, the desire to accomplish goals, and build something meaningful can be incredibly healthy. What’s fueling the fire? In this episode, we talk about the difference between healthy ambition and unhealthy motives. We explore how the same drive that can build businesses, ministries, teams, families, and influence can also become rooted in ego. Through practical examples from leadership, parenting, coaching, teaching, and Scripture, we examine how motivation shapes the outcome of our success. Because the issue is rarely whether we have drive it’s whether that drive is rooted in purpose and service or in identity and self-promotion. A healthy fire doesn’t consume peace, relationships, humility, or identity. Instead, it produces perseverance, discipline, generosity and meaningful impact in the lives of others.
