Remembering Max

Remembering Forest

In this episode Helena sits down with Elizabeth, Forest’s mum, to honour her son’s life and the path she has walked since his death. Forest was born early after a diagnosis that led to an interruption of pregnancy, an experience that reshaped Elizabeth’s understanding of connection, love, and what it means to mother a baby who is no longer physically here. Elizabeth shares the music she listened to with Forest,  she reflects on the profound realisations that emerged after his death, including how she now thinks about birthdays. Today, Elizabeth volunteers with baby-loss organisations and leads creative support sessions for those navigating grief. She hosts individual and couples grief retreats in Northern Portugal, designed as restorative spaces for remembrance, grounding, and deep emotional processing. Remembering Jordan
