This week on Rice, Beans & Scenes, we’re rewinding to the chaotic, wildly unhinged early-2000s rom-com Saving Silverman. It’s got Jack Black BEFORE peak Jack Black, Jason Biggs in full awkward-best-friend mode, and a completely unhinged performance by Steve Zahn! This plot most likely would not be made today. Is it dumb? Yes. Is it problematic? Also yes. Is it weirdly charming anyway? Absolutely!
