For communities that participate, the event is open to people of all ages and skill levels through free, in-person events. Lucky Thirteen! The Chattanooga Film Festival Returns

The 13th annual film festival will be held in person this Thursday through Sunday at Chattanooga Theatre Centre - and online this Friday through Saturday, June 27th. On Screen This Summer: The Chattanooga Jewish Film Series

The premiere screening for this year’s series is Wednesday at 6 PM at the Jewish Cultural Center at 5461 North Terrace Road. Screenings for the rest of the series continue at the Center on Sundays at 4 PM from June 21st through August 2nd. Virtual screenings of the films are also available. In Dalton, The Spirit Of Juneteenth Gathers A Community

This year’s celebration features a summer concert for the holiday on Friday at 6:30 PM in Burr Park - and on Saturday, the Juneteenth Parade at 10 AM in downtown Dalton and the Juneteenth Gala at 6 PM at the Dalton Convention Center. Marisa Kelly is president of the Dalton-Whitfield County chapter of the NAACP.
