Descripción

After an historic win at BC Place, Matt and Blake dive into the first men's World Cup victory Canada and how the city embraced it! The guys look at the Koné injury and who can replace him, and how they can manufacture a result vs a much higher quality side in Switzerland. The boys are joined by FIFA VP Victor Montagliani, who talks about his pride in how his home city put on the match and gave Canada the home pitch advantage. Victor looks at how hosting the World Cup came to be in 2026 and where this program is headed with this experience. He also talks about what this match says and does for the saving of the Vancouver Whitecaps in MLS, making a bold prediction in the process. Next up is Jeff Marek of The Sheet with his latest thoughts on the wheeling and dealing we're seeing around the NHL. He talks about how the Raddysh sign and trade could relate to Hronek trade for Vancouver, and even throws in a possible destination. Marek also talks about the surprising availability of Matthew Knies and Byram, and how a summer of trades could be shaping up. Matt and Blake finish up with a rundown on the day at the World Cup, the BC Lions rosters moves ahead of their Friday night game in Hamilton, and the US Open shows its teeth through 2 rounds. June 18, 2026: Canada vs Qatar preview! Canucks deals to come? Babcock on the brink

Matchday 2 for Canada and Matt and Blake help count you down to game time vs Qatar! The boys are ready for history to be made but are the lads in red also ready? The guys get into the roster decisions ahead for Jesse Marsch on David, Davies, Larin and Bombito, plus, is the coach's call to action for the fans too much? Matt and Blake also address the continuing business in the NHL, which includes the green light for the Oilers to hire Mike Babcock and the various trade rumours that keep popping up. TSN's Frank Corrado stops by to give us his reaction to the Babcock news, saying he can't wait to see how Edmonton faces adversity. Frank also weighs on the trades that are being rumoured and whether Mason McTavish is a fit for the Canucks in a trade. Then Corrado makes a decision on Stenberg vs Malhotra, if it's available for the Canucks. The Prospect Don, Anthony Donati, makes his debut on S & P and compares his top 3 ranked prospects vs the top 3 in his mock draft. Anthony talks about the rise of Malhotra and whether it's dependable data, plus, a secret player or two that he's been fascinated by in the first or second round, and he tells us the separating elements of the top 3 defencemen in the draft. The guys finish up with a look at the recent results in the World Cup and the troubling performance by Cristiano Ronaldo. The BC Lions are deep into injury trouble, the Jays might be on a roll, and the C's drop a close one! Thank you to our great sponsors: @bet365: It's never ordinary!
