Descripción

Today’s episode is about the life and ultimate sacrifice of 22-year-old Correctional Officer Jose V. Rivera, a Navy veteran who was tragically killed by two inmates at USP Atwater on June 20, 2008. Relying strictly on the official history preserved by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, we recount the fateful afternoon headcount that resulted in the very first staff murder in the history of the facility. Once again, although pointed out in the introduction, I will say the following: I am NOT a representative of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. All I am doing is reading what is available publicly at www.bop.gov. Credit where it's due: Thank you to free-stock-music.com [http://free-stock-music.com] for the intro/outro music as well as the background music tracks used in today's episode.
