What is the pattern for the Christian life? Our last time in 1 Peter gives us an opportunity to see in church and life. Discussion Qs Think of someone at church you find difficult, how can you clothe yourself with humility towards that person? Pray to God for help. What life circumstance are you finding hard? Ask for God to help you pour it out to the Lord in prayer and to trust he cares for you in it.

1 Peter 4:12-19

If we suffer for being a Christian has something gone wrong? Peter tells us not to be surprised or ashamed, but to commit and continue. Discussion Qs * If you are suffering for being a Christian how does 1 Peter 4 encourage you? * If you are not suffering for being a Christian, could it be because you are not living as a Christian? Where might you need to change? * Reflect on the hymn God moves in a mysterious way

1 Peter 3:13-22

How can we keep living good lives in the world when we suffer for it? Why would anyone want to keep following Jesus if it means suffering? 1 Peter 3 helps us...   Discussion Qs What people do you fear? How would fearing God change your life?  Should we expect to suffer as Christians? Why, why not? How could Jesus’ victory journey transform how you view suffering today?

Peter talks about Submission. Is that ok to talk about today? What would it look like? for all of us, for husbands and for wives?

1 Peter 2:4-10

Where do you get your identity from? What's your purpose? Questions What areas of your life do you need to build on Jesus? Why not commit these to God in prayer How can you praise God during this coming week outside of Church? How can you encourage non-believers you know, so they don’t stumble over the Word?
