Show-Me Sports Legacies
Two 2026 inductees into the North Central Missouri College Athletics Hall of Fame, Diane Lowrey and Coach Steve Richman join us for a lively look back full of stories of NCMC basketball and softball. Along the way we hear great stories of bus rides, boosters and the impact of grandmas sitting right behind the team's bench! Diane, as a longtime newspaper editor, booster and trustee, and Steve, as a coach and athletic director, talk about the people who impacted NCMC and North Missouri sports. Characters abound including the West End of Ketcham Boys and longtime assistant coach Richard Woods. Laughs and passion for sports and student athletes are the thread that ties it all together! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2377572/fan_mail/new] Show-Me Sports Legacies takes a story approach to learning about high school, junior college, D2 & D1 college sports and our beloved professional franchises in Kansas City and St. Louis. We talk to people who have made their mark as coaches, players, scouts and business people after coming from small towns or little known communities or neighborhoods. We talk to people who are seeking to establish their reputation and break into sports career success. With a fan's perspective we look at how to encourage and support people who have that sporting dream.
