Descripción

It is FINALLY time for the release of our full Medical History Lil Sips.  We announce our book club book of the month: The Icepick Surgeon by Sam Kean. Everyone brings something special to drink with Karina sipping on a Four Loko (0/10), Randi had a Red, White, and Blue Smirnoff (a classic), and Greg delivers on the theme with his Patient Zero Barrel Aged Sour by Martin House Brewing Company. The trio discuss crickets, mummies, and the history of smallpox vaccinations.  Karina surprises even herself with the history of medical cadavers and clarifies the definition between body snatching and grave robbing. Randi brings it out of the box by connecting demon possession to modern clinical trials. Lil Sips: Music History

It is SUMMER TIME and for the month of June we decided to pick the theme of music. We chose music to go with our Book Club Book for the Month : The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins.  Karina brings some facts about Mozart and Gold records while sipping on #snoopdog 19 Crimes Cali Gold White wine.  Randi covers the wonders of the natural world by discussing the music of bugs (and brings along an interesting beverage choice). Greg discusses some colonial drama around singing in church and brings along a truly stunning can of Psychedelic Equilibrium IPA.  Video episode only available on YouTube.  Available to listen on apple podcast and Spotify.  The Sip and Saga Society book club meets the last Thursday of every month on Discord.
