Descripción

Parenting 101, always trust your gut! When it's not right it's likely, not right. In this episode, I discuss our family struggles before our son was diagnosed with ADHD and Anxiety and how he was boxed as naughty or just a typical boy. What is even a typical boy? I chat with my son and learn how he copes with his diagnosis, does it change him, does he think other people treat him differently, is having ADHD a good or bad thing. ADHD minds work differently and not by choice, it's how they are wired. As a parent learning how to help and create strategies that complement an ADHD mind makes all the difference. This is just our experience, our journey to discovery.

#10 Life Reset - scored 8/10

I've had time off, reset and feeling recharged and ready to step into this new space ahead. Taking a step back from life has helped me appreciate what is important, tidy up some loose ends, and revisit my own personal strategy and the business plan of life I have for me. I'm stepping into a new phase of my life and my identity is shifting again. This happened 5 years ago when I had gastric sleeve surgery and the 5 years that have followed that has landed me here. I'm exactly where I'm meant to be. I've done some self-reflection of where I need to travel next on this journey of life and I'm so ready for it and it's going to be big. I chat about the things that I've done during my 'Life Reset' time off and rate my well-being higher than it was 3 weeks ago. That's a big win in my eyes. Reset, Recharge, Rejig, Ready... I hope you enjoy the episode, I hope that it gives you the motivation to look after your own well-being and how you could do that. Instagram: @smallerme_biggerlife Facebook: Smaller Me, Bigger Life

Support Person Life: Weightloss Surgery

*This week's episode does have a little echo (sorry) but I can't fix it. This week I chatted with my husband and got his views on what it's like to be the support person for someone that has had weight loss surgery. This episode will be a great listen for your support person, if you are embarking on a weightloss journey or are currently on one. Weightloss surgery isn't often an individual process, we need support from people, we need back up and often that is from people closest to us, in my case that is my hubby. He chats about his thoughts when I mentioned I wanted to have weightloss surgery, he talks about being the positive rational one, what it's like now that my confidence has grown and what that means for our life. He also talks about how and what he thought when I lost to much weight and why he wants me to move my body when I need to and the benefits that, that allows him as well. If you don't have a support person during your journey, please reach out to me. CHOOSE MORE Instagram: smallerme_biggerlife Facebook: Smaller Me, Bigger Life
