Portada del episodio S3E14 - Police Academy: Mission to Moscow

S3E14 - Police Academy: Mission to Moscow

On the season finale here in Movieland, Eric takes a look at the (for now) final entry of the Police Academy series, a film that was barely seen by anyone that's not a diehard Police Academy fan. He discusses the very few highs and many, many lows about the film as he fights to retain his sanity while viewing this film...which is so ridiculous and so aggravating, it took him nearly two weeks to finish and makes him wonder if this entry should've even been made! Listen as Eric comments on the film's many incredibly dumb moments including the extreme overuse of sound effects, the bad jokes, the out-of-character actions, the fact that it seems the stunt doubles are in the film as much as the cast is, and the fact that they seemed to have doubled down on the use of Looney Tunes-esque gags. S3E13 - Police Academy 6: City Under Siege

This week in Movieland, Eric discusses the sixth entry in the long-running comedy franchise. Considering it his personal favorite of the franchise, he does still discuss the highs and lows, and reminisces about some of his favorite childhood moments. He also comments on it featuring two comedic talents: Kenneth Mars and Gerritt Graham. Also listen as he praises Marion Ramsey's Hooks getting a larger role in the film, The movie also, sadly, reminds him of better movies. Eric also wonders if the cast isn't becoming superhuman (including Hightower's ability to predict the future and Hooks apparently being able to stop time) and points out the film's bad writing and many plot holes, and is now convinced that Jones has godlike powers.
