Soft Life with God
Why do relationships feel so heavy sometimes, even when the love is there? In this episode, I talk about the deeper issue underneath conflict in relationships: unclear roles, blurred responsibilities, unspoken expectations, and emotional over-carrying. From marriage and parenting to friendships and business partnerships, so many of us are trying to manage other people’s emotions while neglecting our own boundaries and responsibilities. I share my thoughts on emotional safety, cycle breaking, parent-child dynamics, expectations in relationships, and why communication alone is not enough. We also talk about the difference between supporting someone and trying to save them. If you constantly feel overwhelmed, resentful, emotionally responsible for everyone, or frustrated that people “should just know,” this episode is for you. In this episode: * Why communication alone doesn’t solve relationship problems * Understanding roles and responsibilities in relationships * Emotional boundaries between parents and children * The pressure many women feel to carry everything * How perfectionism and people pleasing show up in relationships * Why unspoken expectations create resentment * The difference between helping, supporting, and controlling * Questions to ask yourself for clarity and healthier boundaries * Creating emotional safety in your home and relationships * What softness actually looks like in relationships A few questions from this episode: * Did anyone ask you to do what you’re doing? * Are you helping or controlling? * Are you expecting people to read your mind instead of communicating clearly? * Are you resentful because someone crossed a boundary…or because you never set one? * What would softness look like in this relationship? This episode is a reminder that softness does not mean avoiding responsibility. It means carrying what is yours and allowing other people to carry what is theirs. Healthy relationships are built through clarity, boundaries, communication, grace, and practice. Not perfection. Thank you for being here with me. God bless you and your relationships.
