She played lacrosse throughout high school and also competed with the Anderson University travel team and played in various tournaments as a walk-on. She decided to continue playing lacrosse at the University of Oklahoma, and is now about to enter her sophomore year. She’s an architecture student and a member of AIAS, focused on green and sustainable design. Gracie Became a sooner fan by Being a big college football fan and then attending OU, and Her Fave sooner memory is College Gameday last year against Michigan. At OU he’s previously done baseball, women’s basketball, volleyball, and “internal PA” for football. He’s also done tv and radio for baseball, basketball, tennis, wrestling,and softball. He jokes that he’s the utility guy, or Toby Rowland’s stunt double. Before coming to OU, Taylor worked at Colorado College, University of Denver, the Citadel, and several other institutions. His grandfather has been a lifelong Sooners fan. Especially women’s sports. He grew up in Colorado but when he moved to Oklahoma, it was cool to have that connection through his grandfather. His Fave sooner memories are the Kenzie Hansen HR over Clemson… and hanging with Toby Keith after the ‘24 WCWS. other Sooner (non softball) things: Calling Dane Acker’s baseball no-hitter against LSU at Globe Life Field in 2020 And Color commentary for Men’s CWS for baseball in ‘22. *** we recorded this right after softball season ended, and his parting remarks on OU softball and their culture is just what we need to hear after a shortened season! Lacrosse at OU is a bit different than other sports because it is not funded by the NCAA (yet...) but they are the only team at OU. She is studying Elementary Education and is set to graduate Spring 2027. Her Family, friends, and faith are HUGE parts of her life, and she wouldn’t be where she is today without their support and encouragement. Lauren grew up an Aggie (Texas A&M) fan, but she became a sooner the minute she committed OU. Her Fave sooner memory is going to College Gameday last year when we were playing Tennessee; getting there super early and being able to get front row. In this episode we talk about sports and Mental health, faith, team dynamic, and learn about lacrosse as a whole since it is not well known in the south. She has been playing flag football since she was 5, where she was the first girl to play in the local all-boys league, and coached flag football for 6 years. She also played golf competitively for 10 years and rose to be one of the top golfers in the state of Tennessee, where she grew up. Maya is currently a sophomore sports business major on the pre-law track. She created this club team both to increase the opportunities for women in football and to give herself an opportunity to play football. You can find her on Instagram: @mayahiraflagfootball. Jayden Dapper just graduated with a major in biology, and is looking into going into medical sales. She loves sports of all kinds but in her free time she plays guitar!
