Descripción

Have you been telling yourself that you should be stronger by now? Maybe you've cried more than you expected. Maybe you can't stop thinking about what happened. Maybe you're exhausted from analyzing every conversation, every text message, every detail. And maybe you've started wondering if something is wrong with you. Friend, you're not weak. You're normal. When trust has been broken through betrayal, infidelity, addiction, emotional abandonment, or years of feeling unseen, your mind and body respond. The anxiety, hypervigilance, confusion, grief, anger, and exhaustion you're experiencing are not signs of weakness. They're normal responses to a painful and difficult situation. In this episode, Christy explains why so many women mistakenly believe they're "crazy" or "too emotional" when they're actually responding exactly as a healthy person would after experiencing deep hurt and uncertainty. In this episode, you'll learn: • Why your nervous system feels constantly on alert • How broken trust impacts your ability to feel safe • The difference between being weak and being wounded • Why overthinking is often a search for safety and certainty • How to begin finding your footing again without rushing your healing • Practical ways to become more calm, clear, and grounded Most importantly, you'll discover that healing doesn't start by becoming stronger. It starts by understanding what's happening inside of you and extending yourself the same compassion you would offer someone you love. You are not weak. You are responding to something hard. And there is a path forward. I'm Christy Dunn, and I'm really glad you're here.

episode The Truth About Boundaries Nobody Told You artwork

The Truth About Boundaries Nobody Told You

Soul Care with Christy Dunn “The Truth About Boundaries Nobody Told You” Have you been told that having boundaries is selfish? That a good wife — a good woman — just gives and gives without complaint? In this episode, we’re gently taking that apart. Because the truth is, boundaries aren’t walls. They’re not punishments. And they are absolutely not unbiblical. They’re a property line. And you are allowed to have one. We cover: • Why your body panics when you try to speak up (and what to do about it) • The difference between a boundary and an ultimatum • What boundaries actually look like inside a painful marriage • Why forgiveness and boundaries can — and should — coexist • One small, practical step you can take this week There’s also a grounding moment and a short prayer for the woman who feels too worn down to even know where to start. If this episode resonated, share it with a friend who needs it. And come find me on Instagram @christydunncoaching — I’d love to hear what landed for you. 🎧 Listen wherever you get your podcasts.

episode Why You Can't Stop Overthinking artwork

Why You Can't Stop Overthinking

Do you find yourself replaying conversations, analyzing text messages, or lying awake at night trying to figure everything out? In this episode of *Soul Care with Christy Dunn*, we're talking about overthinking—why it happens, why it's so hard to stop, and what may actually be going on beneath the surface. Many women blame themselves for overthinking, but often it's not a lack of faith, strength, or self-control. It's a nervous system that has learned to stay alert after experiencing emotional pain, uncertainty, betrayal, disappointment, or disconnection. In this episode, you'll learn:  •Why your brain keeps searching for answers •The connection between overthinking and emotional safety • The difference between awareness and obsession • How survival mode impacts your nervous system • Practical tools to calm anxiety when your thoughts won't stop • A simple breathing exercise you can use anywhere • How to begin finding peace without having every answer. If you've been carrying the weight of your marriage, your future, or your healing on your shoulders, this episode is a reminder that you don't have to figure everything out today. Peace doesn't come from thinking harder. It comes from learning to feel safe enough to slow down. I'm so glad you're here. — Christy Dunn

episode Do You Believe? artwork

Do You Believe?

Do You Believe? What do you actually believe about your marriage, your healing, your future, and yourself? Sometimes the biggest obstacle standing in our way isn't our circumstances—it's the story we've started believing about them. In this episode of Soul Care with Christy Dunn, we're having an honest conversation about belief. Not just faith in God, but the beliefs that quietly shape our choices every day. * Do you believe things can get better? * Do you believe healing is possible? * Do you believe you deserve peace? * Do you believe boundaries make a difference? * Do you believe God is still working, even when you can't see it? We'll talk about how disappointment, betrayal, addiction, emotional abandonment, and years of pain can slowly change what we believe about ourselves and our future. We'll also explore how those beliefs impact the actions we take—or don't take. If you've ever felt stuck, hopeless, exhausted, or afraid to hope again, this episode is for you. You don't have to have all the answers today. But you do need to be honest about what you're believing. Because what you believe often determines what you're willing to do next. In This Episode: * The connection between belief and action * How painful experiences shape our thinking * Why some women stay stuck even when they want change * The difference between faith and wishful thinking * How to challenge limiting beliefs * Taking your next step, even when you're scared Connect with Christy: 🌿 Join the Soul Care Community 🌿 Visit: Christy Dunn Coaching 🌿 Learn more about coaching and the Strength Through Fire Program If this episode encouraged you, please subscribe, leave a review, and share it with a woman who needs this reminder today: Your future is not determined by what happened to you. When Your Truth Wasn't Really True

In this episode of *Soul Care with Christy Dunn*, we talk about the devastating reality of discovering your marriage wasn’t what you thought it was. Whether it was infidelity, pornography, lies, or hidden betrayal, the pain isn’t just about what happened — it’s grieving the life you believed was real. Christy shares encouragement for the woman standing in the middle of heartbreak and confusion, reminding her that grief is valid, healing is possible, and truth being exposed isn’t the end of the story. This episode is about: * grieving the loss of what you thought you had * why going back isn’t the same as healing * rebuilding from truth instead of appearances * accepting reality while still holding onto hope * allowing God to rebuild what’s real and healthy You are not crazy. You are not weak. And you do not have to walk this alone. I’m Christy Dunn and I’m really glad you’re here.
