A personal reflection on loss, fear, gratitude, and the reality of preparing for death. Two incidents shifted my perspective this year, reminding me of Allah’s mercy and the importance of grounding ourselves in faith. Reference!! Jabir reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say three days before his death, “None of you should die unless he expects good from Allah.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2877 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Muslim “We will certainly test you with a touch of fear and famine and loss of property, life, and crops. On this episode of soul words we dive into causes of separation, whether it be in intimate relationships, platonic friendships and all that’s related to it. How does separation affect us and what boundaries do we need to set when it comes to the influence people have in our lives. “Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The example of a good companion (who sits with you) in comparison with a bad one, is like that of the musk seller and the blacksmith's bellows (or furnace); from the first you would either buy musk or enjoy its good smell while the bellows would either burn your clothes or your house, or you get a bad nasty smell thereof."
