The Legacy of a Father

God's plan for humanity included the concept of family from the beginning. God made man first, then woman to be his helpmeet and man to be the head of the family. The responsibility of man as the head of the family is illustrated throughout the scripture and the impact of the man not taking that responsibility leads to curses. Studies show that the impact of an absent father leads to higher rates of youth in prision, high school dropouts, suicides and homeless or runaway children. The father has the responsibility of transmitting the truth of God to the children. There is a difference between a legacy, heritage and inheritance. Because a legacy is something that is passed on that has a lasting impact and consequential change, the legacy of a father is more important than any inheritance of monetary things. There is a spiritual battle to keep fathers out of the family and out of church. Concerning the Heart

When the Bible talks about the heart, it is referring to motives, desires and purposes. Our heart is who we really are. The Bible tells us our own heart will deceive us and it is naturally desperately wicked. The Bible tells us that the Lord looks at the heart like with Saul and David. The only way to overcome our sinful deceitful heart is to be "born again." Click Here for Slide from this message

The Move of God

The Lord is not a random God but a God of purpose. The actions of God are not random but are working toward an end purpose. And His purpose is guided by his character of lovingkindness, judgment and righteousness. As a result, God is looking for us to be a faithful, believing people so that his will can come forth in us and in the world. Click here for slide from this message

Pentecost - A Game Changer

The Book of Acts records the birth of the New Testament Church in Acts 2 and the Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John finish the foundation that was laid in the Old Testament of God's Plan for salvation. In the Old Testament and the Gospels, the Spirit of God, which is the Holy Spirit was not available to the average person. The promise of the Holy Ghost was given in the Old Testament but it was not given until Acts 2 on the Day of Pentecost. The Heart of the Matter

The heart is often considered the central organ of our body. The Bible refers to the heart as the center of our being and motivation. It tells us that in God's dealings with man, the Lord is looking at our heart. There are four types of hearts - the wayside heart, the stony heart, the thorny heart and the good heart. Since our heart is central to successful living for the Lord, we must guard our heart.
