Descripción

Have you ever believed something about yourself for so long that it felt completely true—even though it wasn't what God says about you? In this episode, we're talking about strongholds: the lies, beliefs, fears, and thought patterns that become deeply rooted in our minds and hearts. These strongholds often begin in childhood or through painful experiences and can quietly shape our identity, relationships, and faith for years. I'll share my own personal story of a stronghold that followed me for more than a decade and even carried into my new marriage. We'll explore what Scripture says about strongholds, how the enemy uses them, and most importantly, how God gives us the power to demolish them. Together we'll discuss: • What a stronghold actually is • How strongholds become part of our identity • Common strongholds including fear, anxiety, pride, bitterness, unforgiveness, addiction, and idolatry • What it means to take every thought captive • How renewing your mind changes your life • Why the Armor of God matters before the battle begins • My Easter Sunday breakthrough and what finally helped me break free If you've ever struggled with thoughts like "I'm not enough," "I'll never change," "This is just who I am," or other beliefs that seem impossible to overcome, this episode is for you. 53. Finding Hope After Child Loss | A Christian Mother's Story with Jill Sullivan

What happens when every parent's worst nightmare becomes reality? In this deeply moving episode, I sit down with Jill Sullivan to talk about the loss of her daughter Hannah, who was diagnosed with glioblastoma brain cancer at just 16 years old and passed away one year later at the age of 17. Jill shares Hannah's incredible faith, the difficult journey through diagnosis and treatment, and the heartbreaking reality of learning to live after the loss of a child. We discuss how grief impacted her faith, marriage, and family, as well as the questions so many grieving parents wrestle with: Why did this happen? Where is God in our suffering? How do we keep moving forward when our hearts are broken? Jill also shares how God used her family's story to launch While We're Waiting, a ministry that now provides free retreats, support groups, and biblical encouragement for bereaved parents across the United States and beyond. In this episode, we discuss: ❤️ Hannah's story and her courageous faith journey ❤️ Navigating grief after losing a child ❤️ The impact of child loss on marriage and family relationships ❤️ Trusting God when answers don't come ❤️ Scriptures that brought comfort during suffering ❤️ Common misconceptions about grief and marriage after child loss ❤️ How friends and family can support grieving parents ❤️ The mission and growth of While We're Waiting ministry Whether you have experienced loss personally, love someone who is grieving, or simply want to better understand how to support hurting families, this conversation is filled with biblical truth, compassion, and hope. 52. Feeling Crazy? Staying at Home or Working Moms. How to Feel Like You Aren't in a Losing Battle

Do you ever feel like you're fighting a losing battle as a mom? Whether you're a stay-at-home mom or a working mom, the pressure can feel overwhelming. Society tells us that motherhood should be our entire identity. We feel guilty if we're not doing enough, showing up enough, creating enough memories, or giving enough of ourselves. But what if we've been focusing on the wrong thing? In today's episode, we're talking about what happens when motherhood becomes our identity instead of Christ. We'll discuss why God calls us to put Him first, how to ask God to reveal hidden idols in our lives, and why focusing on our relationship with Him can actually make us better moms. If you've been feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, discouraged, or like you're constantly falling short, this episode is for you. Scriptures discussed: • Matthew 7:3-5 • Psalm 139:23-24 • Matthew 22:37-38 • John 15:5 • Galatians 2:20 • Colossians 3:3 • Proverbs 3:5-6 💜 Ready to grow in peace and patience as a Christian mom? 🌿 Join the weekly email list: https://bethanyrose.net/podcast [https://bethanyrose.net/podcast] 🌿 Join the FREE Facebook community: Moms Helping Moms Grow in Christ 🌿 Learn more about Peace & Patience Reset Coaching: https://bethanyrose.net/podcast [https://bethanyrose.net/podcast] 📧 Questions or prayer requests? podcast@bethanyrose.net [podcast@bethanyrose.net] If this episode encouraged you, please subscribe, leave a review, and share it with another mom who needs this reminder today.

51. Feeling Defeated, Mama? God May Be Preparing a Revival

Have you ever felt like you're just surviving motherhood? Maybe you're overwhelmed, exhausted, lonely, anxious, or spiritually drained. The good news is that God specializes in bringing dead things back to life. Throughout Scripture, we see that God often uses difficult seasons to draw His people closer to Him and create revival in their hearts. In this episode, we're talking about what a "Mom Revival" really looks like, how God can use trials to strengthen our faith, and why your current struggles may actually be preparing you for a deeper relationship with Jesus. We'll explore biblical examples of revival, encouragement from God's Word, and practical ways to begin seeking renewal in your motherhood today. You don't have to stay stuck in survival mode. God is inviting you into something greater.
