Giannis to the Heat, Jaylen Brown, NBA Draft

Stacey and Matt are joined by Cam Buford from The Voice of the Fans podcast for an all-NBA episode. Stacey, Matt, and Cam debate if the Miami Heat are now contenders with superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo now on the team. All three agree the Heat need a bit more depth on the roster. Cam believes the Heat should make a run at Ja Morant. Stacey introduces the idea of Russell Westbrook joining the Heat. Next, Stacey, Matt, and Cam discuss the aftermath of Jaylen Brown being included in a trade proposal for Giannis. All three believe the Celtics and Brown should work things out before deciding to split. Also, they discuss the possibility of Matt's Nuggets landing Brown, though Stacey wants Jamal Murray to stay versus Matt and Cam. For the last topic, Stacey, Matt, and Cam talk about the top selections of the 2026 NBA Draft, including the new life of the Jazz and the Wizards, who re-signed Trae Young. Bulls Hire Splitter, Giannis' Choices, Darryn Peterson

The NBA-centric episode starts with Stacey, Matt, and Mason discussing the Chicago Bulls hiring former NBA player and Portland Trail Blazers' interim head coach, Tiago Splitter, as their new head coach. All three believe the Blazers made a mistake by letting Splitter walk, and he will be a great fit for the Bulls' young roster. The only question that remains is how the team will build over the next few seasons. Next, the trio debates which team is the better fit for Giannis Antetokounmpo: the Boston Celtics or the Miami Heat. Stacey questions the fit with Jayson Tatum. Mason believes Giannis will have better individual success with the Heat, and Matt loves the Giannis-Tatum pairing. The episode veers into the NFL with Stacey, Matt, and Mason sharing which team still has questions to answer going into camp, and lastly, debating if the Washington Wizards should take Darryn Peterson first overall. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast.
