Cal Poly's newest sport, flag football, will have their first season in Spring 2027. Right now, head coach Rod Sherman and current player Sydney Bertoni are laying the groundwork to establish a vision and a team culture. Cayden Ward and Avery Knapp, both contributors to their respective Cal Poly basketball teams, were not awarded a scholarship in their first year. Cal Poly's Mustang Commons: A new hub for student success and belonging

Cal Poly officially named its newest student space Mustang Commons, bringing several cultural and academic support centers under one roof. Located near North Perimeter Road and Safety Way East, the building now houses the Latinx Center for Academic Success and Achievement, also known as LA CASA, the Black Academic Excellence Center, TRIO Achievers, Cal Poly Scholars and the Educational Opportunity Program. In downtown San Luis Obispo, transportation is familiar: cars navigate through intersections, bikes weave through traffic and pedestrians file sidewalks. Robert Greheta, owner of Ubert! [https://www.instagram.com/ubert_rides?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==], transports his customers in a less-than-conventional way. Greheta freely gives rides around town on his pedicab and aims to create an experience that takes you from point A to B, while having fun along the way.
