In the first part, Music Victoria’s CEO, Simone Schinkel, speaks with Edwina Floch - the founder of the Environmental Music Prize. In the second part Simone speaks with Berish Bilander – the CEO of Green Music Australia. In these conversations they discuss the Environmental Music Prize - a new call-to-action for artists to use their voice both on and off stage, which recognises and rewards artists who inspire action for climate and conservation. They also discuss: challenges of creating with a “cause in mind”, music as a tool for social change, the Green Music Action Program, touring sustainably, and the whiteness of climate action.
