If only we didn't have some serious character assassination of Nagisa in these episodes, I'd have almost nothing bad to say. Aesthetically, narratively, and production wise, this show is considered the weird one. So much of this show stands out like a sore thumb, and these first couple of episodes reflect that rocky start. Our heroes are a bit out of sorts and spending a lot of time in the woods as we critics need to map this territory out. It's a bit troubled, but we are already able to find a lot to like. But this season on Super Sentai, our rangers literally are a family. With no parents around to monitor their behavior, just how toxic will these siblings start treating each other? I don't think this show will go too dark, but there are already signs that they aren't being super cool with each other- even signs the show itself is too sexist to notice. I don't want to end this description with "too sexist," the show's pretty good so far. Magi Magi Magiro! We rejoin Nagisa and Honoka as they end up accidentally adopting a mysterious kouhai named Hikari, who may be the re-incarnation of the Queen of Light. She now joins the warriors against new threats of the Dark Zone, and with it new problems to navigate. I can't believe we are here once again, and we are here for it.
