This episode’s guests: Jacob Tate is the presenter for our Union Branch’s Dungeons and Dragons Club, which takes place every first and third Saturday at the Union branch from noon to 3 PM. He is a Dungeons and Dragons enthusiast who has dedicated countless hours to learning the ins and outs of the game, its universe, and the intricacies of Dungeon Mastering. Cheri Kramme is a Nutrition Program Associate at the MU Extension in Franklin County. She will present a Junior Chef program at all nine branches as part of our Summer Reading Programming. She is joining us to discuss the program, her role at the MU Extension, and what the extension offers. Christy Schink, our Associate Director of Youth and Outreach Services Librarian, has been hard at work preparing for our Summer Reading Program, which begins May 31. This year’s theme is “Color Your World.” In this episode, we discuss the importance of the Summer Reading Program, what changes we’ve made this year, and all of the fun programs families can expect this summer. Stacy Emerson is the library’s Trainer and Adult Education Instructor. She has worked at the library for 10 and a half years, and her smiling face is one of the first things new employees see when they start their position. Many of our patrons may also recognize her due to the extensive range of computers and technology she offers. Will Stuck will be presenting his “Pigment of Your Imagination” program at our Owensville, New Haven, Warrenton, Union, and St. Clair branches during the second week of July. He describes himself as an “Edu-tainor.,” with shows that are a M.E.S.S., meaning they feature music, education, stories, and science. He will be presenting “Walt Disney’s Missouri” at our Union branch on Thursday, June 12, at 6:00 pm. Georgia Payne, a master quilter from Washington state, discusses quilts and the Underground Railroad. She will be presenting “Quilts of the Underground Railroad” virtually at our St. Clair branch on Tuesday, June 17, at 6:00 pm.
